The history of our agricultural land and the original La Rindola building has its roots in the early 1900s and is linked to a prominent figure in Italian industry: Giacomo Pellizzari. Owner of the Officine Pellizzari company in Arzignano, he wanted to build a summer residence not too far from his factory, giving life to the Villa dei Pellizzari in Campanella di Altissimo, an elegant Art Nouveau residence surrounded by a large park and a traditional bocce (lawn bowling) green.

A visionary dream:
the Pellizzari farm

However, his project was much more ambitious and, in some ways, visionary: adjacent to the villa he built a modern farm, adopting innovative building and agronomic standards for the time. Over time, he purchased neighbouring plots of land until he created a single large farm of about 8 hectares (about 20 acres), completely fenced and equipped with a livestock stable and an efficient road system.

He entrusted the management of the fields and the stable to local people, allocating a portion of the harvest to the labourers of his workshops. In the summer months, the farm was transformed into a sleepover camp for the children of his workers, enlivening the community with masses, parties, and friendly gatherings.

A new beginning

Many years passed before our family decided to take up his legacy. In 2012, we purchased the old, and by then dilapidated, stable and the surrounding land. Giving life to this place once again. After careful renovation, the building was transformed into our farmhouse and the fields were once again cultivated.

A place that still lives, among old traditions and new stories

Today, as in the past, this place fills up with people who dine together, walk in nature, ride donkeys and… get even married! We like to think that Giacomo Pellizzari would be happy to see it restored to a place that brings happiness and joy.
